Todd Wallace, estimator and sales representative, is the newest face on the Dube Plus team. Relocating from Maine in 2002, he brings a lot to the table with his extensive construction background and his “outside the box” approach.
Todd’s formal training began in vocational schools in Maine and he says continues everyday in the trade. “I honestly feel that if you go through life thinking you know it all your through learning”, Wallace says.
He has worked in the trade in various capacities since 1986. He jokes that he “cut his teeth on pump staging”. His talents got him off roofs and into interior details. He enjoys custom woodwork and working with exotic woods. He has even constructed rustic furniture for sporting camps.
Wallace is also Registered Maine Guide and spent over 10 years in the middle seat of a Rangeley boat guiding fisherman in remote areas of Maine. Among his clientele were business leaders, high profile performers, Supreme Court justices and Sir Edmund Hillary, and his eyes light up when he tells the stories. Todd says that guiding was less about fishing and more about being a people person. “If you can’t interact with people when the fish aren’t biting, it’s going to make for a long day”. Todd relates his successes afield to the fruition of a construction project. “The reaction is the same when you take someone who has never cast a line and hook them into fish and the final walk through of a well designed, well orchestrated construction project.”
Todd resides in Derry with his wife, son and troublesome Brittany Spaniel. He enjoys spending time outdoors and fishing with his son Tucker who is “getting the bug”. “He is able to out fish me now so the stakes are going up”.
Todd is excited about being a part of the Dupe Plus team and what lies ahead.
