The Timberland Co. and Dube-Plus at Serv-A-Polooza

East Kingston, NH – A workforce from Dube~Plus Construction, a local building and remodeling contractor in Hampstead joined over 100 other volunteers for Timberland’s annual Serv-A-Palooza event.   Serv-A-Palooza was held at the Tricklin’ Falls YMCA Camp in East Kingston and is an annual event hosted by Timberland where participants from all over the world strive to make a difference in their local communities.

Participants from Timberland, City-Year, Dube-Plus as well as people from the community joined hands for this year’s project at the YMCA Camp Tricklin’ Falls in East Kingston.   This year’s project was to construct a large covered area off an existing art building.   Volunteers also framed and covered an 8 foot by 33 foot archery range.   Bob Bogosh, a project coordinator with Dube said, “We were able to tie in the new canopy relatively easy due to the fact that we had planned on it when constructing the roof during Earth Day.”   Bogosh also noted that there was an abundance of helpful hands available when it was time to raise the roof trusses.

Bogosh has been working hand and hand with many of the employees at Timberland’s Stratham location.   He was asked to help out with the event four years ago and has since helped coordinate the construction during annual Serv-A-Palooza and Earthday projects.   “It’s a challenge to keep everything moving, you know you’ve only got one day to get everything done but everyone’s always willing to help out.”

The Timberland Company is considered to be a global leader in corporate social responsibility and understands the importance of community involvement.   All employees of Timberland are encouraged to donate 40 hours per year of paid time off while they help service their community. The community involvement helped Timberland score on Fortune Magazine’s top 100 best companies to work for in 2007.
